To find relaxation from a hectic and stressful life, people go on vacation to a serene landscape or beaches to introspect and unwind. While relaxing on a beach, the person in the infographics sees a ship on the skyline and a spate of thoughts cross his mind. "Is it a warship? Does it have weapons? Are the soldiers also there?" Aurobindo means lotus. Sri Aurobindo was born on 15 August 1872 in Kolkata( Calcutta) to Krishan Dhun Ghose and Swarnalotta Devi. He was a prominent Indian nationalist, philosopher, poet, and yogi. He is renowned for the philosophy of divine life on earth through spiritual evolution. Sri Aurobindo developed a unique spiritual practice called Integral Yoga, which seeks to integrate all aspects of human life. physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual into a unified whole. When I looked out of the window, I saw some feathers flying up and down in the direction of the breeze. A strong breeze was blowing. After some time, the breeze stopped, and all the feathers fell to the ground. A feather is so light that it cannot decide on its grounding place. Similarly, life without a goal is like a feather, it will just keep getting spent. But if we give direction to life by setting a goal, it will give peace, happiness, satisfaction, and bliss. "Inner voice" is often referred to as the deep, intuitive inner guidance that comes from one's true self. It is often described as a gentle feeling or knowing that arises without conscious reasoning. Then comes the question of how to differentiate between the inner voice and the voice of the rational mind. The voice of the mind and thoughts is often analytical and may arise from emotions, which can be fleeting and reactive. Why should we follow our inner voice? From my experience, the inner voice is always correct. Inner voice, for its true value, helps us in strengthening our belief system. Inner voice serves as moral GPS. During World sports competitions, we see some new stars emerging and others losing the competition by a narrow margin. Winning or losing a medal is a part of the sport. Sometimes we have to accept whatever comes our way. As we can't be winning all the time. If we can leave aside the results ( to be analysed later for the betterment of the game) and start celebrating with the winners. We will observe that failure takes a back seat. Do you remember the last time you achieved your goal within the deadline? Many a time, we set a goal, like losing weight, saving money, etc. We try our best, yet after six months or so, we realise that all our efforts were a little short. As a result, we may get scared. Another instance is supposing we are going somewhere. A road leads us to our destination. But can we reach our destination without being on the road? Imagine a situation. A football match is going on, and the goalkeeper is all set in the middle of the goalpost to save the goal. And then suddenly the ball just goes past him. A shout from the spectators 'goal !' and from the other end, oh no! as no one expected him to miss the ball. What might have happened? Was he thinking about the previous match or the next league match that was forthcoming, something else? We all have observed that our feelings, like sadness, anger, excitement or loneliness, directly affect our daily life. Some days when we get up in the morning, we feel low and aimless, on another day, when we have a goal, we feel excited about it. For example, when someone has remarked, " that you are not good enough" we feel low, but another day, when we get positive feedback, we are happy. Can someone's remark affect us? Can an external factor generate a feeling that can snatch our natural self? Yes, for quite a few of us. Watch your feelings as though they are the waves created by a passing by boat.
