During meditation, many thoughts may appear in the form of worldly objects or emotions like good food, money, a car, music, a mobile phone, love and my love for my pet. These emotions sometimes reach a point at which they can no longer be controlled or contained. Years of frustration may even spill over into the form of violence. When I started meditating. I was just meditating every day, without thinking about its outcome. One day, my brother told me that I have become calm and more patient. Was I impatient? I asked myself. I did feel that I was less impulsive. Veteran meditators say character formation is the first outcome of meditation. Characters like becoming more aware of the family's requirements. Care for the poor and needy. A meditator works with energy and values time. Also one can become much more thoughtful, contemplative, imaginative, and calm. Keep Meditating

Do I need a Guru to guide me in meditation? This question often bewilders many of us. According to Swami Kriyananda. " If you are looking for greater happiness, peace, less stress and worry. You do not need a guru, you will still benefit from meditation." Meditation is a simple practice available to all. One technique is Ana-Pana-Sati, inhale your breath, exhale your breath and be one with it. But if we are in the wilderness, like the one shown in the infographic, we will need a guide if we want to find our way home. Taking help from someone who has walked the path before us is both sensible and efficient. Continue to meditate, wherever you are. A master will appear at the right time. Keep meditating

Sometimes, when we are with ourselves, we are either in the reveries of the past or in dreams of the future. In case of the past, we might be taking into account of what we went through. In case of future, we could be just planning. In either case, we are not present there. Try being in the present moment. The present moment is as delightful as a freshly baked cake. The aroma of the cake is everywhere in the room. When we eat it, it satiates our hunger and gives us pleasure. Being in the present moment fills us with the aroma of meditation. Keep Meditating

Meditation! Meditation! Meditation! What is this meditation? I don't have time for meditation. I have to rush to my college, school or workplace. There are so many domestic chores remaining. We may come across such arguments. Such thoughts communicate that we need to calm our minds and bodies.
Meditation can calm our minds and encourage feelings of acceptance and harmony, like saying "Yes, I have to do these things". By staying in the moment, the mental stress levels can be reduced dramatically. If I am staying in a calm and relaxed body, all the work will go on without stress. Keep meditating
